Men's Tennis falls to Limestone, 7-2

Feron and Altizer win singles matches in Tornados loss

Brevard, N.C. - The Brevard College men’s tennis team fell in all three doubles matches on their way to dropping their match against visiting Limestone on Thursday afternoon, 7-2.

With the loss, Brevard falls to 1-4 on the season, while the Saints improve to 3-3.

Jonathan Kuhn and Cole Altizer opened up doubles play at the #1 position for Coach Paul Thomson, but fell to Christian Warnholtz and Jordan Vicain, 9-8. Scott McCormick and Andrew Thompson fell at #2 doubles to Miguel Lopez Zuniga and Henrik Nordquist, 8-6, while Jarred Fisher and Dorian Feron fell to Paulo Avila and Mike Stephenson, 8-3, to complete the sweep.

Feron and Altizer gave the Tornados wins at the No. 5 and 6 singles spots, but Limestone took wins at singles No. 1, 2, 3 and 4 in closing out the victory.

The Tornados are back on the courts on Monday, March 8th, as Brevard travels to Hilton Head, S.C. to take on Northern Kentucky, with first serve coming at noon.
