Hostetter and Dillman undefeated on the afternoon for Brevard

Jefferson City, Tenn. - The Tornados took two of the three doubles matches, but were unable to carry the momentum in singles play in falling to Carson-Newman on Friday afternoon.

The Tornados fall to 11-4, 4-2 in SAC competition, while the Lady Eagles are now 9-3 overall and 4-3 in conference play.
Lindsay Shaeffer and Kim Dixon fell in No. 1 doubles match, but the teams of Lindsay Hostetter and Claire Dillman and Jennifer Nyman and Kayley Duval took the points on courts No. 2 and 3 to put Brevard up 2-1 heading into singles play.

Hostetter and Dillman remained undefeated on the afternoon with victories in singles play, as Hostetter topped Elizabeth Sneed, 6-4, 6-2 and Dillman defeated Kylie Elliot, 6-2, 6-3.

Carson-Newman won the remaining four singles matches to record the victory.

Brevard is back on the courts on April 10th, as the Tornados travel to Harrogate, Tenn. to face off against Lincoln Memorial. First serve is at 1 p.m.
