Hoard and Rennie tie for 15th individually in the two-day event
Tazewell, Tenn. - T.J. Hoard and Thomas Rennie led the Brevard College men’s golf team this past weekend at the Fall LMU Invitational, finishing tied for 15th overall in the tournament as Brevard finished tied for 10th at the Woodlake Golf Club.
As a team, the Tornados recorded a score of 302 on the first day of the tournament, before improving the score by three strokes on day two to finish the two day event with an overall score of 601. The score tied Brevard with Walters State to 10th place overall in the 15 team tournament.
Hoard opened the tournament, scoring a 75 in the first round, but came back in round two to lead Brevard with a 71, 1-under par for the second day to finish with a two-round score of 146, placing him in a tie for 15th overall. Rennie also tied for 15th, scoring a 74 in the first round and coming back with an even par 72 in round two to finish with a 146.
Michael Stamper recording matching 77s in his two rounds in the tournament, finishing with a 154 in a tie for 43rd, while Mike Jones opened up the tournament with a 76, before finishing round two with a 79, finishing tied for 52nd.
Jon Poole rounded out the group in the tournament, firing a 79 in round one, while carding an 81 on the second day to finish tied for 67th overall.
