Running Meets Music
A vocal concert to benefit the Brevard College Cross Country team
Brevard, N.C. - Dr. Jack Daniels, Brevard College Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach, is pleased to announce and host Running Meets Music, a vocal concert to benefit the Brevard College Cross Country team.
This free concert of vocal arias and favored selections will be held on Saturday, March 12th, at 7:30 PM in the Porter Center for Performing Arts at Brevard College. Contributions will be accepted at the door, with 100 percent of all gifts going to the purchase of new Brevard College Cross Country uniforms.
Artists in the concert include Dr. Ann Nagell (Tempe, AZ), Andrea Howland-Myers (Boone, NC), Rachael Hirsch (Phoenix, AZ) and Dr. Daniels’ daughter, Sarah Tupper Daniels (New York, NY). The concert will include Broadway, Americana, and opera favorites such as: Lift Thine Eyes, from Elijah, Poor Wand'ring One, from Pirates of Penzance and Someone to Watch Over Me, by Ira Gershwin. Jack Daniels and members of the team will be on stage to entertain, as well.
Doors open and seating begins in the Porter Center at 7 p.m. for the 7:30 concert. Refreshments will be available for purchase before the start and during intermission of this benefit concert. For more information, contact the Brevard College Athletic Department at (828) 884-8276.
