Signing class now up to 14 players
Brevard, N.C. - Head Coach Paul Hamilton and his staff, in conjunction with the Brevard College Athletic Department, is pleased to announce the addition of four commitments to the 2011 Brevard College Football Team.
Darien Walker and Sean Lampkin are already enrolled at Brevard College and will be participating with the team in practices this spring, while Ryan Watts and Tanner Wright will be joining the 2011 team in the fall.
The 2011 signing class is now up to 12 players as the Tornados continue their preparations for the upcoming 2011 season.

Ryan Watts - Watts joins the Tornados from Tiger, Ga., where he played under Coach Danny Durham at Rabun County High School. Watts received All 8-AA Region 2nd Team honors and received to the Defensive Captain Award in his junior year. During his season season, Watts was again named to the All 8-AA Region team, received the MVP award, was a 2010 Scholar-Athlete and was a National Blue Chip Team Champion. Watts leaves Rabun County as the program’s single game and single season tackles record holder, with 28 recorded in a game and 162 for a season. He also played basketball and track while at Rabun County. Off the field, Watts was on the Honor Roll for all four years in high school and was an Honor Graduate and has been accepted into the Honors Program at Brevard College. He also serves at Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels and the SAAD. He is the son of Jerry and Anne Marie Watts.
Tanner Wright - Wright joins the Tornados from Clayton, Ga., where he played under Coach Danny Durham at Rabun County High School. Wright was a four-year letterman with the program and was named to the 2010 All-Region and All-Conference teams. A Team Offensive and Defensive captain, Wright set a pair of school records, setting the rushing record with a 96 yard carry and set a punting record with a 79 yard punt. He also received the 2009 and 2010 Football Summer Sacrifice Award. In addition to football, Wright played on the Rabun County baseball team, receiving the 2009 Best Defensive Player award and the 2010 Team Player of the Year award. Off the field, Wright was a Scholar-Athlete and a member of the 3.0 Club. He is the son of Steve and Michelle Wright.
