Canale places first in the 5,000 meter run at Wofford

Angela Canale defeated the rest of the field to pick up her first win in the track and field season

Spartanburg, S.C. – The Brevard College track and field team raced in the Terrier Relays at Wofford University on Saturday. The Tornados competed in five events and Angela Canale topped the field in the women’s 5,000 meter run.

In the men’s 5,000 meter run, Jordan Tager finished first of the Brevard runners, taking seventh place. Tager finished the race in 16:31.65 with his teammate Josh Mower finishing right behind him at 16:44.53, taking eighth place. Chris Shore finished 17th in the race. Shore finished in 17:50.58. The men finished the distance medley relays with a time of 11:28.67 which was good for 10th place.

Angela Canale finished first in the 5,000 meter run on the women’s side with a time of 19:25.49.

The BC track and field team competes again on Saturday, April 9th, when they travel to Furman University.
