The Tornados open the season by making the trip to Boiling Springs in a rematch of last year’s road opener as they take on the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs. Brevard fell to GWU last year in a tightly contested battle and look forward to taking on the Runnin’ Bulldogs on Coach Norman Harris Field at the Ernest W. Spangler Stadium on September 3rd.
Brevard returns home to Brevard Memorial Stadium in Brevard, N.C. for the 2011 regular season opener on September 10th as they host Johnson C. BC remains at home the following weekend for Family Weekend as they open South Atlantic Conference play against rival Mars Hill. The Tornados won a thrilling contest in Meares Stadium this past year, topping the Lions for the first time since Brevard joined the conference and will look to build off their success as they host the Lions on September 17th.
Irwin Belk Stadium in Wingate, N.C. is the site of Brevard’s next game as they return to the road to take on the 2010 South Atlantic Conference regular season champion and NCAA Regional participant, Wingate University. The game between the Tornados and the Bulldogs is scheduled for September 24th.

The Tornados return to the site of the program’s first South Atlantic Conference victory on October 8th as they travel to Hickory, N.C. to take on conference opponent Lenoir-Rhyne University. The two teams have been in the top five of the NCAA in rushing yards per game for the last two years.
Brevard takes their longest road trip of the season the next weekend as they make the trip to Buena Vista, Va. to take on NAIA Southern Virginia University. This is the third year in the four year contract between the Tornados and the Knights, with the Tornados holding the 2-0 edge over SVU. The game is set for October 15th.
