Rennie guides Tornados to eighth place finish at Tusculum Fall Classic
Rennie and Koivu card matching 72s in final round action
Greeneville, Tenn. - Thomas Rennie continued his stretch of steady play throughout the early part of the 2011 season, recording a team low score for the two rounds of 142, tying for fifth overall as Brevard carded a team score of 295 as the Tornados finished tied for eighth in Tusculum Fall Classic hosted at the Link Hills Country Club.
Rennie followed his first round 70, with a second round score of 72, finishing with his lowest total of the 2011 season as he finished tied for fifth overall.
Kim Koivu dropped two strokes off his first round score to match Rennie with the lowest round of the day among Tornados’ golfers with a 72 in the second round, finishing the two day event with a score of 146, tying for 23rd overall.
Michael Stamper finished two strokes back of Koivu, finishing the second round with a score 75, tying for 32nd overall, with a final score of 148.
T.J. Hoard rounds out the group, dropping two strokes off his first round score to finish with a 76 on the final round, tying for 59th overall with a 154.
The Tornados are back in action in two weeks as they make the trip to Bristol, Tenn. to take part in the King Invitational. First round action begins on Monday, October 10th.
