Brevard, N.C. - The Brevard College men’s football squad will look to improve on their 2007 season, as the Tornados will begin spring practice this Saturday afternoon, March 29.
After completing their second season in early November, finishing with a 2-9 overall record, the Tornados will look to continue to improve in all areas of the game in their first spring season under head coach Paul Hamilton.
“Both the staff and the players have worked real hard this off-season,” commented Coach Hamilton. “We are excited and ready to get on the field and go to work.
Starting this Saturday afternoon, the Tornados will be practicing on Saturday’s, Tuesday’s and Wednesday afternoons, weather permitting, heading up to the Inaugural Spring Game on April 26.
“The thing I like about spring practice is it gives us a chance to work on things from the ground up, from A to Z, and on fundamentals without worrying about getting prepared for a game on Saturday,” continued Hamilton.
The Inaugural Spring Game will be held on Saturday, April 26, at 6 p.m. The gates will open at 4 p.m. as pre-game festivities will include meeting the student-athletes of all BC programs, a punt, kick and pass competition as well as other pre-game activities.
Tickets are $10 for adults, while children and students get in for free.
The proceeds of the event will go to help support all of the BC athletic programs in the upcoming season.
