Prata Wins Two in Loss to LMU

Brevard, N.C.- The Brevard College women’s tennis team fell 6-3 to the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters at the McCoy Tennis Complex on Tuesday afternoon.

Michelle Prata went undefeated on the afternoon, pairing with Clair Dillman to defeat Leah Donoff and Aura Penalosa on the number one doubles court before Prata downed Alexandra Granger 6-1, 6-1 on the third singles court.

Prata improved to 3-2 in South Atlantic Conference singles matches this season while Dillman and Prata improved to 3-2 in SAC doubles matches on the year with the 9-7 win.

BC senior Elise Labus toppled Aura Penalosa 6-1, 6-3 on singles court four for the Tornados other win.

The Tornados are back in action as they visit the Catawba College Indians on Saturday afternoon for a 1 p.m. match at the Johnson Tennis Center.
