BC Competes at NCAA Southeast Regional Cross Country Meet; Andrade Finishes 10th
Wingate, N.C. – Brevard senior runner Alycia Andrade finished 10th at Saturday's NCAA Division II Southeast Regional meet, hosted by Wingate University. Andrade's time of 24:30 earned her a spot on the All-Region team.
Freshman runner Brittany Radenbaugh also competed in the meet on Saturday afternoon, turning in a time of 28:50 for the 6K race, placing her in 123rd-place overall out of 155 participants.
On the men’s side, Brevard had four Tornados compete in the men’s 10K event.
Sophomore Tiffen Tapia led the Tornado charge, as he crossed the finish line in a time of 40:24, good enough for 112th-place overall.
A trio of BC freshmen, Damon Martin (40:58), Jon Lavelle (41:21) and Mike de Kozlowski (43.54) also competed at the event on Saturday.
Lees-McRae College won the team title on the women's side, with Clayton State's Allison Kreutzer taking the individual women's title with a time of 22:24. On the men's side, Queen's University of Charlotte took the team title, and Royals runner Oscar Ogwaro took the individual crown with a time of 30:54.
