Men's Lacrosse Set to Open Inaugural Season

BREVARD, N.C.- The Brevard College men’s lacrosse team will open their highly anticipated inaugural season, on Saturday, with a visit to Emmanuel College for 1pm face-off with the Lions.

The Lions, located in Franklin Springs, Georgia, are part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and finished their 2013 season 2-11. They opened their season with a win over Point University.

Brevard’s practices have been underway since January 6, and they are looking forward to finally competing against an opposing team.

“Overall we look to establish the right culture within the program that allows our players to gain experience by taking chances on the field,” said Head Coach Kevin Anderson. “Each game will be a new opportunity for us to compete, learn and grow as a team and family.”

BC hosts Lees-McRae College for their inaugural home opener on February 9, at 1:00pm.
