Tornados Overmatched in Opener

BREVARD, N.C.- The Brevard College men’s tennis team fell 8-1 to the  the University of North Georgia on Saturday in their 2014 season opener.

Brevard College’s single win came from sophomore David Taggart, who handled Nighthawk junior Mateus Camasmie in a tough and competitive match. David gained a point for his team after winning 6-4, 3-6 and 11-9.
Junior Rory Northam played in the singles number two spot against UNG Rodrigo Magan. UNG took the win over Brevard by going 6-3 in each.
The Tornados are back in action on Monday as they host the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs in a rescheduled match at the McCoy Tennis Complex at 2 p.m.
