Brevard Falls to North Georgia

BREVARD, N.C.- The Brevard College women’s tennis team lost 6-3 in competition against the University of North Georgia in their season opener on Saturday.

The Tornados gained a point from their number one doubles team as Katie Daugherty and Michelle Prata paired up for an win 8-4 over the Nighthawk’s tandem of Natalia Escobar and Mathilde Baartvedt.
Doughtery also performed as the number one singles spot, taking the win over North Georgia junior Cameron Williams 6-3 and 6-4.
Michelle Prata played as the number two singles and defeated Escobar 7-6 and 6-4, but the North Georgia swept the remaining action.
The Tornados are back in action as they visit the Young Harris Mountain Lions on Thursday at the Berry Tennis Center at 2 p.m.
