Women's Tennis inks Dillman

Brevard, N.C. - The Brevard College Women's Tennis and head coach Paul Thomson are pleased to announce that Claire Dillman has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her tennis career as a Brevard College Tornado. Dillman is the daughter of Mitch Dillman.

Dillman comes to Brevard from West Union, S.C. A homeschooled student, Dillman has been ranked as high as #6 in the South Carolina 18's division. Coached by Chuck Kriese, Dillman won the 2008 South Carolina State Hard Court Championship in the 18's division. She plans to major in environmental studies while at Brevard.

"We are extremely thrilled to have Claire join the Brevard College tennis family," Thomson said. "She is an outstanding young lady who comes from a great family. She is going to be a great leader from our tennis program and also our institution."

Thomson's Tornados begin their first season as full South Atlantic Conference members February 11, 2009 against North Georgia.
