Scheduling changes for the Tornados
Brevard will play host to Belmont Abbey, Limestone and Montreat for the weekend
Brevard, N.C. - Due to the recent weather activity, the Brevard College Tornados softball team will not be playing Louisburg College tomorrow afternoon as the teams had to cancel due to scheduling conflicts and having to make up games scheduled earlier in the week.
Instead, Brevard will play host to Belmont Abbey College on the Brevard softball field. First pitch for the doubleheader between the Tornados and the Crusaders is set for 2 p.m.
The Tornados have also added games on Friday, March 6th, as Limestone College comes to Brevard for a doubleheader with the first game set to start at 2:30 p.m.
Brevard will then end their homestand on Saturday, March 7th, as the Tornados host Montreat College for a rematch of the doubleheader that was split on February 21st. The host Cavaliers defeated the Tornados in the first game 3-2 in eight innings, before the Tornados came storming back in the second game, winning 6-1 behind the pitching of Liz Houser and a late bases-clearing double by Jennifer Brown. The two teams will take the field on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Coach Britne' Stubbs team is 6-2 in their first season as full members of NCAA Division II and the South Atlantic Conference.
