Tornado Tennis ranked 16th in Southeast Region

Thomson's squad finished 15-5

Skillman, N.J. - The Brevard College men's tennis team is ranked 16th in the latest edition of the ITA Division II Southeast Region Men's Tennis rankings for NCAA Division II. It is the second regional ranking attained by coach Paul Thomson's team this season.

Previously, Brevard was ranked 15th in the region on March 7, but the Tornados dropped out of the rankings on April 7. Brevard returns to the ranks of the region's elite teams after finishing their season with a 15-5 record, including a 5-3 South Atlantic Conference mark. In their inaugural season as members of NCAA Division II, the Tornados finished 4th in the SAC standings.

Three other SAC schools are ranked; conference champion Mars Hill checks in at 11th, Wingate is 12th and Tusculum is 15th.

Two Tornados, Cole Altizer and Jarred Fisher, were named 2nd team All-SAC members.
