Third-year coach calls incoming class
Brevard, N.C. - Head Coach Paul Hamilton and the Brevard College football team are proud to welcome two more signees to their incoming recruiting class. Kelvin Gennerette and Jimmy Angle will join the Tornado roster in 2009.
The additions of Gennerette and Angle bring the total number of incoming recruits to forty-two, a number that is likely to grow in the coming weeks. "I am extremely pleased with the size and quality of the class we are bringing in," Hamilton said about his new additions. "This group has the potential to be a solid foundation for years to come."
The third-year coach, whose squad is preparing for their second season as South Atlantic Conference members, said that the quality of athletes in the class has the potential to greatly improve the Tornado squad. "With this class, we have enhanced our size and speed at every position," Hamilton said on the eve of his third season on the Brevard sideline. "There is no question that several of these kids will contribute and compete for starting positions immediately. They will make us a different team."
Hamilton and the Tornados begin their 2009 season on Saturday, August 29, when they travel to Jacksonville, Fla. to face Edward Waters College.
