Tusculum defeats Brevard 4-0
Greenville, Tenn. - Brevard tried to escape the rain by traveling to Tusculum, but were met by the elements in Greenville as well. The Tornados and Pioneers played for 74:00 until the game was called due to rain with the Tornados down 4-0. Kayla Durden added an assist and a goal for the Pioneers.
The Pioneers improved to 9-2 and 2-0 in the SAC while the Tornados fell to 4-6 and 0-4 in the SAC.
Sydney Douglas started in goal for the Tornados allowing Tusculum to score four goals while saving three. Jordan Box replaced Douglas at the half and allowed no goals and saved two in 29:00.
The Pioneers outshot the Tornados 25-9 with Nikki Peacock leading the team with two shots on goal.
The Tornados will dry out and travel to Converse for a non-conference match on Wednesday.
