Tornados finish ninth at the Tusculum Fall Classic
Davis shoots a two-day score of 144 for a tie for seventh
Greeneville, Tenn. - The Tornados men’s golf team teed up at the Tusculum Fall Classic this past Monday and Tuesday, facing off against several South Atlantic Conference squads. Joshua Davis led the Tornados to a ninth place finish, as he shot a two-day score of 144, even par to end the tournament tied for seventh.
Brevard finished 31 strokes behind tournament champion Tusculum College, shooting a 607 for the event.
Davis opened with a 73 on day one and came back to fire a 71, 1-under on the second day of the tournament to record his seventh place finish.
Parker Lewis had rounds of 75, 76 to finish in a tie for 28th with a two-day score of 151, with Thomas Rennie right behind with a pair of 77’s for a 154, putting him at 46th.
Thomas Bush and Mike Jones rounded out the group as Bush finished with a 163, putting him in a tie for 62nd, while Jones improved on his first day 87, rallying back to record a 78 on the second day for a 165 for the tournament.
Brevard is back on the links on Thursday, October 1, at the Connestee Country Club in Brevard, N.C. for a two-team match against Montreat College.
