BC softball team reaches out for the holidays
Brevard, N.C. - The Brevard College softball team reached out to the community last month adopting a local family for Christmas through The Sharing House Organization.
Through the sharing house, the team reached out to a single mother and her two young children, purchasing Christmas gifts and spending time with the family of three. Each member of the family opened one gift with the softball team prior to Christmas and saved the rest to be opened Christmas day.
The Sharing House Organization receives hundreds of applications each year from families asking for assistance around the holidays. The applicants are from various backgrounds, including individuals, single parent households, the elderly, and two parent house holds with multiple children.
