Brevard, N.C. - The Tornados competed in their annual Spring Football Game on Saturday afternoon at Brevard Memorial Stadium in front of 325 fans, family members and members of the community.
The Brevard College football players and the coaching staff ran through a set number of plays and the offense and defense competed in goal line situations, two-minute drills and other various game situations.
The Spring Game this season was cohosted by the Transylvania County Boys and Girls Club which provides a safe place to learn and grow, while enabling all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens through the use of life-enhancing programs and character development experiences through the building of ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals. All gate receipts received at the game went toward the benefit of the Transylvania County Boys and Girls Club.
The Tornados open the 2010 season on Saturday, August 28 as the Tornados host Edward Waters. Kickoff for the home opener is slated for 2 p.m.
