Conover, N.C. - Alisiya Klochkova led the way for the final time in her collegiate career at Brevard College, and provided a round to remember, cutting eight strokes off her second road total to finish tied for 27th overall in the tournament as Brevard finished ninth overall at the 2012 Food Lion SAC Tournament.
Brevard outpaced SAC opponent Mars Hill in the tournament, topping the Lions by 43 strokes to take ninth place in the tournament, paced by the efforts of Klochkova, Emily Smith, Marlaina Garman, Allie Hovis and Kelsey Wyatt.
The senior from Moscow, Russia, made it through her final round at the Rock Barn Golf & Spa on Tuesday. Klochkova recorded her best round of the week, finishing the front nine in 38 strokes and added 42 on the back nine to end the tournament with an 80 on the course, finishing the tournament with a three round score of 251, 38-over par for the tournament.
Smith finished out the tournament with a final day 97 on the course, finishing the tournament 44th overall in rounding out the three day event with a 276.
Garman finished one place behind, also recording her best day of the tournament in her final round, scoring an 89 and finishing the round with a 282 at the Rock Barn.
Hovis and Wyatt rounded out the group as the duo both recorded their best rounds of the weekend on the final day as well, with Hovis cutting 13 strokes off her previous best to finish 49th overall, while Wyatt cut 21 strokes off her second round total to claim 50th at the tournament.
