Brevard, N.C.- The Brevard College men's basketball team fell 82-60 to the Anderson Trojans on Saturday night as Anderson's Chandler Hash dropped a game-high 32 points in Boshamer Gymnasium.
Hash finished an outrageous 8-for-13 from three-point land, and finished 11-for-16 from the field in the career-best performance. Kyle Sledge and Bo Holston combined for 29 points and 14 rebounds for the Trojans, who improved to 11-5 (7-1 SAC).
Gerel Simmons and Dominique Pickett combined for 40 points on the night for BC, and accounted for 32 of Brevard's 34 points in the first half. Brevard went into the break trailing 47-34.
The Tornados put together a 17-4 run that spanned halftime to get within eight points of the Trojans early in the second half, but couldn't sustain offensively.
Still leading 49-41 with just over 17 minutes left in the game, Anderson answered with a 16-1 run to develop a 23-point lead, and held a double-digit advantage for the rest of the contest.
The Tornados finish their home stand as they host the Carson-Newman Eagles on Wednesday night in Boshamer Gymnasium at 8 p.m. The Eagles took an 81-62 contest when the two teams met on November 28th in Holt Fieldhouse .
