Brevard, N.C.- Claire Dillman won her number two singles match after pairing with Michelle Prata to win the number one doubles match, but the Anderson Trojans still managed a 7-2 victory over the Brevard College women’s tennis team at McCoy Tennis Complex on Friday afternoon.
Dillman and Prata took care of business on the number one doubles court, taking down Avery Owens and Karen Ching 8-3.
Dillman then defeated Karen Ching on the number two singles court in three sets, 7-5, 6-7, 10-7. The senior has won her last five singles matches, dating back to a 6-0, 6-1 victory on the first court over Assumption’s Erica Micciche on March 7th.
BC’s Elise Labus took Hannah Ecleberry to three sets on the number four singles court but couldn’t grind out the victory, falling 2-6, 7-6, 10-8.
As Sunday’s match with the Mars Hill College Lions has been postponed due to weather concerns, the Tornados retake the court next on Wednesday as they host the Newberry Wolves at McCoy at 2 p.m.
