Brevard, N.C.- Brevard’s Johannes Kloster and David Taggart paired up to take the number one doubles match before both picked up singles wins against Anderson, but it wasn’t enough to hold off the Trojans in a 6-3 loss at McCoy Tennis Complex on Friday afternoon.
Kloster and Taggart edged Abdoulaye Camara and Jerome Branker 8-6 on the number one doubles court before breaking off for singles competition. BC’s George Finch and Rory Northam lost a close 8-6 doubles match on court number two that would have given BC a 2-1 advantage heading into singles play.
Kloster knocked off Daniel Gonzalez on the first singles court 6-2, 6-4 while Taggart handled Camara 6-3, 6-2 on singles court number two.
As Sunday’s match with the Mars Hill College Lions has been postponed due to weather concerns, the BC men aren’t back in action until Wednesday as they host the Newberry Wolves at McCoy at 2 p.m.
