Brevard, N.C.- The Brevard College Tornados men’s tennis team fell to the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears 6-3 at the McCoy Tennis Complex on Thursday afternoon.
George Finch and Johannes Kloster paired to take the number one doubles match and stayed hot to win their singles matches, but the Tornados were unable to get anything else going on the afternoon.
Finch and Kloster edged David Richardson and Filip Dobrosavljevic 8-6 on the first doubles court. Kloster was leading 4-0 on the first singles court before Richardson was forced to withdraw due to injury. Finch, meanwhile, cruised past L-R’s Matthew Ledford 6-0, 6-1 on the number five singles court.
BC’s Rory Northam was trailing Filip Dobrosavljevic 2-1 before being forced to retire with an injury on the third singles court.
The Tornados fall to 2-12 on the season and 0-4 in SAC competition while the Bears move to 2-7 and 1-6 in the conference.
Brevard is back in action on April 2nd as they host the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters at McCoy Tennis Complex at 2 p.m.
