HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Brevard College women's soccer team dropped its season finale at Coker, 1-0, Saturday afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference match at Coker Soccer Field.
The Cobras (5-12-1, 2-8-1 SAC) snapped a three-match losing skid and received solid play from Lizz Morris, who earned the clean slate. The Tornados (3-13-1. 0-10-1 SAC) finished the season on a 13-match winless streak despite starting the season with three consecutive wins.
Coker notched the games' lone goal in the third minute when Jenna Pacyna headed in a shot off the foot of Cassandra Ordonez at the 3:21 mark.
BC failed to crack the scoreboard despite four shots on target from Kaitlin Burns. Senior goalkeeper Brittany Webster finished her storied career with 332 saves, including six in the match.
Morris stonewalled seven shots for the Cobras while three players registered three shots to pace the offense. Coker outshot the Tornados, 13-9, including a 7-3 margin in the first 45 minutes of play.
Seniors Jamie Bundy, Lindsay Pritchard, Elena Crowe, Francie Blair, Kasi Benskin and Webster concluded their Tornado careers.
