Volleyball Camp information now available
Brevard, N.C. - Brenda Skeffington, head coach of the Brevard College Volleyball team, is hosting a volleyball clinic and camp for both boys and girls at the Transylvania Recreation Center from June 21st to June 25th.
Monday, June 21st, will be the one-day Hitter’s Specialty Clinic running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for grades 9-12. Tuesday, June 22nd – Friday, June 25th will be the Junior and Senior camps. The Junior camp is for grades 4-7 and will run from 9-11:30 a.m. The Senior camp is for grades 8-2 and will run from noon-4 p.m.
In the Junior camp, campers will learn the basic skills of serving, passing, setting and spiking. They’ll also be exposed to on-court positioning for serve receive and defense.
In the Senior camp, the campers will receive individual and group instruction on skill development, team offense and defense, and conditioning specifically for volleyball. They’ll also be taught serving, passing, setting, spiking and blocking, as well as watching demonstrations of these skills by the camp staff.
Fees for the camps are as follows:
Hitter’s Specialty Clinic - $30 (includes a BC bag)
Junior Camp - $70 (includes a BC bag)
Senior Camp - $110 (includes a BC bag)
