2009 (Freshman): Played in 18 contests and started in 15 as a true freshman...Recorded a 3.34 goals allowed average, and a 58.7 percent save percentage in the net...Finished fourth in the South Atlantic Conference averaging  4.5 saves per game.

High school: The 5-10 Mauldin High School product, lettered in soccer for three years as a Maverick under Coach Joe Siatkowski. Shaw also was the keeper for the SCYSA U-17 State Cup Champions and has an interest in wrestling and mixed martial arts, having achieved black belt in 2001. Shaw was also his team representative to the Senior Class Leadership Council at Mauldin.
