2011 Season (Freshman): Saw action in five games for the Tornados at quarterback...Scrambled for 12 yards against Southern Virginia on October 15th.

High School: Wright joins the Tornados from Clayton, Ga., where he played under Coach Danny Durham at Rabun County High School. Wright was a four-year letterman with the program and was named to the 2010 All-Region and All-Conference teams. A Team Offensive and Defensive captain, Wright set a pair of school records, setting the rushing record with a 96 yard carry and set a punting record with a 79 yard punt. He also received the 2009 and 2010 Football Summer Sacrifice Award. In addition to football, Wright played on the Rabun County baseball team, receiving the 2009 Best Defensive Player award and the 2010 Team Player of the Year award.

Off the field, Wright was a Scholar-Athlete and a member of the 3.0 Club. He is the son of Steve and Michelle Wright.
