After graduating from Brevard College, Cypress Gorry came back to work with the cycling team as the assistant coach. While attending school, Gorry was part of multiple mountain bike and cyclocross national championship winning teams, and won four individual mountain bike titles. Gorry was a double major in exercise science and mathematics.
Outside of the Brevard Cycling program, Gorry has had much success as a professional athlete. Having previously raced at the World Championships in multiple disciples, and winning the U23 Pro Cross Country National Championship the past two years, Gorry brings a great amount of racing knowledge and experience to the program.
Gorry not only has a lengthy history of race experience, but brings in prior coaching expertise as well. As an Associate Coach for Whole Athlete, a coaching company based out of California, Gorry has coached many cyclists on an individual basis towards achieving their competitive goals.
